Solid Texas Flatsawn Oak (Ebony Stain) – Handmade Tissue Box Cover Holder – Rectangle Style – Box Jointed Sides

Heirloom quality ebony stained, solid Texas Flatsawn Oak tissue box cover handmade and handcrafted in the wood shop from the local saw mills.

This item is made of solid Texas Flatsawn Oak from our local saw mill and milled down to 1/4″ thickness. This item is a “made-to-order” item and is ready to ship in about 10 days upon purchase.

WOOD SPECIFICS:
This item is made from oak, not veneered plywood or some other wood stained to look like oak. The natural wood and deep grain are typical of oak and add those little touches that veneers or staining can’t duplicate. This item is stained with an ebony (black) stain.

MATERIALS:
This item is made from solid oak, Titebond wood glue, super blonde shellac, and satin furniture grade lacquer. All listed materials are non-toxic and FDA approved as food safe.

CONSTRUCTION:
The joints are extremely tight fingered box joints all the way around and will not come loose over time (see pictures). All the wood is stored until the moisture count is less than 10% so that warping and cracking won’t occur over time (not for outdoor use).

CONSTRUCTION:
The finish procedure is 2-3 layers of Minwax brand ebony stain to give that dark “black” look and then 4-8 layers of waterborne satin, furniture grade, polyurethane to make them bathroom durable, sanding in-between layers to ensure a perfect finish quality. All finishing products used are non-toxic and the wood is from renewable sources.

DESIGN:
This cover is bottomless and simply slides over the tissue box. It is heavy enough not to allow the box to slide around and will not lift when you attempt to pull a tissue out.

This is a one-of-a-kind product. No two will be exactly alike as it is made from solid oak and not veneer over plywood. While the stain is the same, the underlying wood will show different grain patterns and textures.
